| I think it is really helpful and useful to use a biometric passport because there is greater security to make sure that the personally is legally going out from the country. This is basically a combination of paper and electronic passport. The biometric included will help a certain traveller secure his identity. Authorities can also recognize well whether your documents are legal or not. I hope it will improve more. |

Here in the Philippines, the latest passport edition is that which requires passport applicants to have their fingerprints scanned and picture taken in the passport application area, which is actually good because it eliminates all those fixers who volunteer their services to help you process your passport or take your passport picture for an extra fee. Now the foreign affairs department puts all your data in the passport and makes them machine readable. |
