Kyndra from Somewhere Out There -

Has anyone had a company on their credit statement give you better credit and it was not supposed to be there. Just curious because you only hear about bad credit being put on your report that isn't yours. What about good credit that isn't yours.

Comment #1 peekaboo from from my desk! -

No I have never heard of that? Creditors track your spending habits and on time bill payments, so all of that put together is how your score is determined, not just by one thing. So I would have to say no.

Comment #2 snowbird (1) from The North -

I would have to agree with Peekaboo. I have never heard of anyone mistakenly giving you good credit. I know alot of people who wish it would happen to them though!! LOL

Comment #3 johnny from in hiding -

When I was a teenager, my name and my fathers were almost the same our addresses matched. I had his credit on my report, which was great for stating out. Later after I got a few credit lines I wrote a letter to the big three credit boards and had his credit removed. This was their mistake but it helped me start my credit!!! I think this would be the closes to wrong positive credit being placed on someone credit.
