I think it is a good idea to have amendments in connection with the Credit Reporting Privacy Code. In that matter the officials can see a clearer view of their objectives. At the same time there will be a comprehensive overview of the credit systems in the community.

As a matter of fact, I wish to have the same amendment in my own place so that we can compare and contrast which way is better for us.

I suppose, that in New Zealand they are trying to prevent the type of easy credit that caused a lot of the current economic problems, or perhaps they are just trying to undo damage that was already done. In any case, though these regulations do cause inconvenience for those with poor credit, I think it will strengthen the economy in the long run and benefit everybody even those with poor credit.
