Questions: What do I do if someone has stolen my identity?

Thank author of this post/commentI received a call today from a collection agency saying that I owed them 800 dollars from NTelos. I've never heard of ntelos until today. The lady at the collection agency said that it was for unpaid wireless bill. I have a cell phone through another company, so it seemed fishy. I called Ntelos and they said my account was past due and had been open for 4 years! I ordered my credit report through Experion and there is no evidence of this account or deliquency, however both the collection agency and NTelos had my ssn on file. What should I do now?
