This is a fascinating subject! How does one go about encrypting a message? Is there free software available to do it and how does one arrange for the receiver to unencrypt it? It seems a great idea, but sounds very complicated. Comment #1 Plums from the thrush tree - PGP used to have a free version available, but I'm not sure whether this is still the case or not. If you really want to use the software then it is worth investing in a license, but it is not cheap and it is really most user-unfriendly, both the site and the software. Almost gives one the impression that they're trying to discourage you! Comment #2 Delino from California - I think they do have a free version still but I don't think it's that flexible. Their paid versions are excellent but so difficult to learn how to use at first. There are other tools out there as well.
