Help? how can i recover files that were on the desktop before recovery? - Data Recovery
| Help? how can i recover files that were on the desktop before recovery? I did a system recovery on my pc, since it said data wouldn't get deleted if I did. But after I did it, all the files from the desktop are missing and are no longer found when I search for them. I know they might still be there though. What folder should I look in for them? They are pictures, videos, and other important files. |
| We actually have the same problem. I also did the same thing thinking that I will be able to restore back all those deleted files. I was so shocked to find out that they were all gone! If only I knew this would happen, I should have not restored them anyway. Could someone help us in our problem? Those files are really important that I really want to retrieve them so badly. Thank you so much in advance and more power. |
| I think, in order not to cause further problems on the files to be recovered, you'd better ask help to a computer technician who has better ideas and skills in doing it. Otherwise, you might lose all the data and fail to recover them at all. There are also options from the internet how to recover data so you may try to Google it. Good luck and I hope you fix it. |
| You should consider looking for a free program online that will work as an user friendly interface and that allows you to go into the computer's memory and retrieve data. If that does not work for you, then you should definitely send it to a computer expert, especially if that data you want to retrieve is important. You should have really backed up your stuff before restoring your PC, though. |
