This video is very informative for me. I think Disk Encryption could play a vital role to protect your unit. Sometimes I experience to loss power with no reasons, so I am afraid whether my unit is damaged or corrupted. I think shutting down the laptop after use is much better than hibernate or turning into sleep. This is to make sure that your files won't be attacked in any manner.
