Identity Theft - Identity Theft

Be Very Careful

RiverQueen from Joisey, on the Continent -

You got that right. I deposited on an internet poker site using Neteller. This method is a known true blue site.

Well the poker site called me when I was out and left a message that I was purchasing something on the internet and would I please call this number and speak to XXXX. So I called the number.

I said apparently I was trying to purchase something and you have some questions for me? I don't recognize the name of your company so tell me what I was trying to purchase.

Well, they would give me no answers until I "confirmed" my birth date and my full name and address and telephone number. I said you tell me what you have and I'll tell you if it is right. They wouldn't do that.

I said "you called me so you have my phone number". I will give you no information until you tell me what I'm supposed to be trying to purchase. If you can't tell me that then cancel the bloody purchase.

Anyways after a run around for 1/2 hour of them asking and my saying with identity theft you expect me to give you information when I don't know who the hell you are?

Anyway I finally found out that it was the poker site that I had just sent money to and I told them forget it I'm withdrawing my money. If you can't deal with your clients better than this when you are receiving the money from Neteller then I don't want to play on your site.

So as a warning if someone wants you to "confirm" information and ask you to give DO NOT DO THAT... ask them what they have and you will confirm or deny what they have
