COIN-OPERATED-BOY from Philippines -

Before, my name was used by someone. I discovered it one time when I try to search for my name Google.

I am actually blogging by that time, 2005, and I never thought someone would use my identity and name just for the sake of his personal reasons.

I do hope people can show some respect to others and not to try this kind of immature and disrespectful act.

Luckily I manage to still keep my name clean despite of the fake "me"'s actions.

Have you experience the same thing? What did you do?

Comment #1 Wilbur Corncob from inside the machine -

Too bad you can't sell your name for a million buck and get a new one! Well... soon maybe it will be popular enough!

Comment #2 COIN-OPERATED-BOY from Philippines -

Haha, I do hope so.

Just barely a month ago I met the person who used my name, and to my surprised he was my classmate back then in college.

Comment #3 Martin from Kansas -

Yes, the person most likely to steal your ID is someone close to you!

Illegal immigrants are also quite likely to steal at least one or two identities while they're in the US.

WELL I JUST TURNED 18 YEARS AND I WANTED TO START MY CREDIT AND EVERYTHING WAS GOING GREAT UNTIL I CALLED COX TO OPEN AN ACCOUNT AND THEY SAID I HAD TO PAY $200 OF A PAST DUE ACCOUNT. NOW I HAVE TO PROVE THAT IN 1992 I WAS BARELY 2 1/2 YRS OLD SO THAT THEY COULD CLEAR THAT JUST BECAUSE A JACK ASS USED MY SSN
