The good news is that the cost per incident -- including losses and legal fees -- fell 31 percent to $496. One reason for the spike in cases is likely the worsening economy. | This is really terrible. I think proper authorities should take proper actions to halt this kind of crime identity theft. It is so annoying to enter the privacy of another person. Can't they just mind their own business? Why do they have to destroy the account of other people? It is really disappointing to know that identity theft cases are increasing.
