Never save passwords!

shaun from nova scotia -

You know how firefox often will ask if you want to save this website's password. Definitely always decline, because you never know when someone will come on your computer and try to get into the important accounts. If you have the passwords saved then... Nothing's going to stop them from getting all your information!

One can actually download freeware programs that will unencrypt the asterisks in a password with the greatest of ease. Very easy to install, so anyone could use a USB drive to install it on a computer and soon round up a bunch of the passwords that are saved on the computer. Quite scary to see how easy it is to get passwords off a computer. Best not to save them, unless one securely 'locks' the computer whenever one leaves it.

I always save my passwords at lest until I read this post. I never really thought about it in that way. I don’t really worry about people getting on my home pc but my laptop I do worry about it. Thanks.
