How To Detect An Intrusion?

Hi to all. I have this problem where my computer was being hacked. I must say that it is not so healthy for your computer to absorb those intruders. your computer might got viruses. Anyway, do you mind sharing here some good information regarding intrusion detection and stuffs. If you can share here some good information regarding this matter then that would be great.
