| Can my new landlord ask for my bank account number, sort code, etc? I moved into a room (as a lodger) about 3 weeks ago and my new landlady has now presented me with a form to fill out asking for my bank account number, sort code, tax code, National Insurance number, passport number, among other things. Am I required to give this to her, and could she reasonably ask me to leave if I don't? I don't mind showing her ID, but I don't want to give out my account details. |
