| Catching phishers I started thinking the other day about techniques the FBI could use to catch phishers. You could really lead them on by sending an inquiry and making it sound like you wanted help with your account. Lead them on and bait them to reveal more info. I wonder if this is already being done. |
| Indeed, phishing has become a major web epidemic. Financial and economic institutions have suffered loses besides ISPs and the general public. I have previously come across otherwise legitimate emails that need me to divulge personal information but it has never struck me as being fishy. It is annoying nonetheless to have to pay attention to these. Catching them might not be an end to this vice..even the FBI will not get of hold of everyone. |
