| Any way to prove a phone was tapped AFTER the fact? I have read several blogs and feel more confused than ever. What I have determined is that my phone was tapped for a long time. I suspected when my husband at the time(now ex), was able to respond to phone calls quicker than me. He had information spontaneously and so on. Additionally I could hear clicking while having conversations. When I brought attention to the clicking, it ALWAYS stopped. I am pressing charges against my ex. Fraud, perjury, stalking, breaking and entering, theft, harassment, and defamation of character are on the agenda. He has vandalized my vehicles and a friends vehicle that I borrowed, told our children horrid lies and has gone to great lengths to alienate me from my community. Sooooo, is there any way I can prove that my phone WAS tapped? It still might be, but I don't hear the clicking any longer or get the occasional no one there on the other end phone call. ALSO, I have two phone numbers I found online that one can use to see if your phone is tapped. Are these legit? 202-543-9994 my area code-my area code-1111 Thanks, A desperate mom |

| You have a terrible experience with your phone. I think it ruins your privacy. If you suspect that somebody has been tapping your phone calls you better change your phone and number. You can ask a certain service provider of some devices you can use to hinder tapping of phone calls. Its right that you will never know whether your call is tapped or not, not unless you hear the recording, so you better initiates to prevent it. |
| I feel sorry for him because he lost you. I agree with Marynor, you can change your phone number to assure you that your phone won't be tapped again. If you are really bothered, try consulting an expert about that matter. This is really a serious case because if it's true that's already invading your privacy. Immediate action must be done so that it will not happen again. I advise you to start a new life and forget all the bad things that had happen. |

Are you a Creeper yourself, implying that my mind created this scenario? Trying to get on with my life, is difficult when my locked gas cap is so damaged that the key no longer opens it (2 weeks ago)AND every other book sitting on a bookshelf in my bedroom is drawn forward, things moved and drawers left pulled out (two days ago). I'd like to see how successful you would be "getting on with your life", if you were perpetually harassed! Fortunately, you will not have the "joy" of someone informing you that your mind is playing a powerful trick on you! |

Tapping a phone in the year 2011 (and for many years as well) DOES NOT involve clicks or other physical connections to your phone line.There are all kinds of reasons there can be clicks on your line and none of them have to do with it being tapped. Nor does phone tapping involve moving books or damaging a gas cap. Now, if someone wants to harass you they could well do all those includes, including putting clicks on your phone line... but it seems like a whole lot of effort. Harassment is one thing. Phone tapping is another thing. If you want to tell people you are being harassed, fine. if you want to tell them your phone is tapped that is a whole different thing. |
