'Boyfriend still texts his ex...am I wrong to be upset?'

Today I was sitting on the couch watching tv with my boyfriend and I noticed he was texting his ex. I didn't think anything of it because we've been together a long time and I trust him. But then he had his phone sitting open in his lap and he received a text from her and I said "Hey you have a text" and he looks at it to see who its from and closes his phone without even looking at it. So I was like "You're not gonna look at it?" Well he does BUT tilts the phone away from me. I am not one of those girlfriends who looks though her boyfriends phone and flips out anytime he talks to another girl but it really bothered me that he couldn't just open up the text right in front of me. I understand privacy and what not but still...am I being crazy or should I be concerned?

I finally figured out how to keep my boyfriend from going through my text messages. I downloaded a program from Faketexts.com and it hides the iPhone SMS button and replaces it with a fake one that you can edit. Basically it doesn't show all the boys I am talking to just go to Faketexts.com on your iPhone.
