I was wondering if it's possible for my analog phone, that's plugged into a telephony modem, to be hacked/listened into or anything that would compromise my privacy. More details are in my profile.
It doesn't matter what kind of phone or service you have. The authorities can pull up your calls/conversations from a central office, far from your location. I do not understand why folks think there is a "special way" to stop phone spying. With the Patriot Act any call can be monitored at any time. If you don't want your convos overheard, the only way to ensure that is to: not make any calls!
There is a quick, easy, simple and extremely effective way to stop telephone spying: SHUT UP! ie: stop using your phone. There is not even a requirement that you own or use a phone!
