Yahoo! Answers: Voter privacy question?

Thank author of this post/commentI found a site called voterfactory.com that has many people's name, address, phone #, and political party. Is this legal for them to post this information?? my name is on there with my political party, which is a very small and discriminated minority in the area i live. I saw that not everyone was on there, but it did have millions of people. How can they get this information/ post it on the internet? It doesnt seem to comply with our country's secret ballot laws. Phone books don't have people's political stances.

Certainly it is all compiled from public information. The presentation is truly obnoxious though.

There are already a lot of issues coming out about phone privacy and it seems like many people take this for granted. Well phone manufacturers as well as service providers should learn to enhance the privacy options for phones so that people will also have the right privacy that they need for a phone or mobile phone.
