| I applied for a loan, and they gave the results to someone else! Is this a viola My husband and I applied for a loan through a company that my mother referred us to, and was told that they would get back with me in just a couple of hours with a decision. I used my mother as a reference, however did not tell her all the details, only that we were thinking of getting a loan. Within two hours my mother calls me to tell me the company had called her and told her we were denied for the loan! I was shocked in every way by this! My mother, who had NOTHING to do with it, told me the credit decision! I was embarrassed and appalled that someone would do this. I called the company to ask if they could tell me the credit decision rather than someone who had nothing to do with the application, and they basically told me they were sorry, and there is nothing more they can say. I asked to speak with a district manager for the company, and after 2 1/2 weeks have still heard nothing. I have called 3 times requesting his telephone number, and they refuse to give it to me. They lady said that she was sorry, and that she knows it should have never happened, but I am still embarrassed, and think something should be done. What options do I have legally? |
