Bell Sympatico has informed its customers that it intends to "monitor or investigate content or your use of your service provider's networks and to disclose any information necessary to satisfy any laws, regulations or other governmental request."

Bell Sympatico's new customer service agreement, which took effect June 15, is a clear signal the telecommunications industry expects the Conservative government to revive the surveillance law, said Michael Geist, an Internet law professor at the University of Ottawa.

Thank author of this post/commentI figured sooner or later it would comedown to this. I know eventually we will be taxed just to use it. Someone sent me a funny joke in the mail awhile back. When you would click on the link a pair of eyes showed up and they would follow your mouse. Funny, I wish I would have saved it!

Government snooping, I guess! Write your congressman and bitch about it. Maybe the Gestapo is coming over and setting up its systems. In general all government is repressive and destructive of personal freedoms. Just donīt say anything improper. Cheers!
