No secret RFID

Jim (63.176.159.192) -

"Companies using radio frequency identification (RFID) tags on products should always tell their customers and make sure they know whether they can deactivate the tags, according to a set of best practices for RFID deployment proposed by a group of IT vendors, RFID users and consumer advocates."

But how will you ever know?

Excellent question "how will you ever know?"

Technology should be the answer. Every home should have an RFID checker so you can test every item you bring into your house for RFID tags.

You can then make the decision of how to proceed. Remove the tag. Destory the tag. Protest the use of the tag. Insert the tags in your friends (or enemies) items.

Better yet, start an RFID tag exchange group where everyone meets and puts all the tags into a cookie jar and everyone selects a new tag.

Remember what they used to say: Garbage in: Garbage out!

Did we forget that saying?
