RFID adoption questionnaire

Thomas Dintsis (138.40.156.132) -

Dear members viewing this thread.

I am doing a research for my thesis on master's degree on RFID technology and I have created a questionnaire in order to get feedback on several issues related to RFID.

I would be grateful if some of you replied to this, cause it is really important for the completion of the project.

In case someone is interested please send me a private message or an email to mitsbuc@http://hotmail.com, or even reply here writing his/her email so I can send him/her the questionnaire (I cannot post the file here).

Thank you very much in advance for your time and consideration.

Best regards,

RFID will be adopted on a large scale. Before long EVERYTHING will use it. The benfits will be touted and the "risks" pushed aside.

It will be great for security, commerce and every other aspect of business and government you can think of. It will even be implanted in humans. That will start slowly. Maybe military personal or convicts. Later it will be used voluntarily for medical reasons (like when you check in the hospital). The missing kids people will get on the bandwaggon and before long that will evolve into part of the "birthing process".

Many will scream about the risks and privacy issues. That will pale in comparison to the "benefits".

A few elite will understand the systems and take advantage. In Japan we already see shields being sold to protect your subway pass from being used by another.

Think of the implications in a fully RFID'd soceity for those that know how to edit, mask or otherwise maniuplate the tags when the design is designed to take for granted that the tags are "secure".
