Carbon Check CopiesSecurity - Security
Carbon Check Copies My bank has just started not putting the account #s on the carbon copies. I have a credit union account that still has the account # on the carbon copies. I have either put those in a safe or put them through the shredder.
Aren't carbon copies a waste... is it that hard to write the check ledger? They give you online scans of the checks that have cleared, correct?
I'm terrible at balancing my checkbook that is why I like the carbon copy checks. There really is no reason for you account number to be on the check anyways, so I'm glad they are starting to take it off the carbon copy.
I hardly even use my checkbook anymore. I do all my banking online and have not had any problems. I love it!!
Yea online banking is the most simple way to manage your accounts, and as for having your account number on your checks there is really no purpose.
Without your account number on your check... it is not a check! Did you mean your social security number or drivers license number? Neither of those oughta be printed on your check. Duh!
why would there be your social or anything personal on your checks? thats just asking for identity theft..
This message is to Jack, who is acting like everyone else here is stupid. The title of this blog is "carbon check copies", so clearly everyone is referring to the fact that the account number isn't written on the carbon copy (rather than the check itself). Duh to you!
If it is ACTUALLY a copy.. then your account number and everything else would be there! If it is a partial copy.. then maybe your account number would not be included on the "copy".
Actually carbon copies of receipt are essential for transparency and record keeping. what if there is an anomaly in your account like missing deposits or banking issues like that. What if they loss the original copy (either intentionally or not) then how can you assure your account on them.
