Easy Checkout

Thank author of this post/commentI read somewhere that pretty soon you won't even need to use a credit card to check out, that your prints will be matched to your account and you can purchase items that way. Have you heard of this?

Thank author of this post/commentI have not heard of this, but I guess it isn't such a bad idea. What happens if you have multiple credit cards though? I suppose they will have your credit card information on file then, is that good? I say no.

Thank author of this post/commentWhat happens when someone records your prints?

Thank author of this post/commentI don't think I would like that idea. First of all if they have your prints on file then they have a great piece of identity. Secondly, if they have all your credit information on file there is a risk of that being used against you.

I certainly don't need someone having all my credit information on their files after all "people" work for these companies and it's the "people" that are thieves, not the computers.

Thank author of this post/commentI think it would be in the computer and you would just press your thumb onto the scanner and it would check that way. So you wouldn't be able to make a purchase unless you did it in the store. I think it is a pretty good way to cut down the risk of someone stealing on of your credit cards and charging stuff on it.

Thank author of this post/commentYes, I've heard of this concept...It's called Pay By Touch. It's in grocery stores. You sign up and have your thumb printed. That is what you would use every time you would check out. Different? Sure...but convenient.

It would be quite convenient for me..far from the hassle of having to carry credit cards all through. Why don't we have identification cards the same way too.

Of course they have considered both sides of the coin and come with a way to seal the loopholes. See, if someone steals your prints, how else will he or she get the other information. I would say it is convenient for now. Lets wait for it to roll into operation!
