Spam in your real mailbox

Thank author of this post/commentI have received a letter in my actual mailbox that is just like having it on my computer. It was for a pyramid scheme wanting me to send money to a list of people who would then add me to a list to send more money to. I gave the letter to the postmaster. So be on the lookout for letters like this. Mine came from Illinois.

Thank author of this post/commentWOW!!! Now that is really getting ballsy. I mean usually they are word of mouth because they are so illegal. But to start getting them in the mailbox means they are using the mailbox for fraudulent purposes.

Good thing you gave it back to your postman and hopefully he will return it to the right people for investigating.

Pyramid schemes are totally against the law anywhere in the U.S. and Canada and they must be stopped or many people can lose out on thousands of dollars.

over there
Thank author of this post/commentYeah i have been recieving these letters saying stuff like "send our mail for us and make 500 dollars a week!!!" and so on. I knew it HAD to be a scam. So i googled it up and found one website dedicated to real mail scams, and it was one of them. I'm wondering though HOW they got ahold of my address? Grr.

Somewhere Out There
Thank author of this post/commentYeah, it is getting fairly crazy. They are getting more and more creative. It is just a matter of time before all of these people get caught sending these types of letters. I get them too, all of the time.

If the whole neighborhood block received the same suspicious scam mail then you probably experience a syndicate member who just dresses up as your normal postman with the hopes of tricking one unfortunate person. If that is not the case (asking your neighbors around it), you should be alarmed! How can your personal home address be known by such no-good thieves and were able to send you an unwanted mail?
