What I do to avoid spamSpam - Spam
| What I do to avoid spam One thing that I have done to avoid spam is when I sign up to any new forums that I'd like to join, I use a "dummy" email address to get my login info, etc. I had found that after signing up to many forums I was getting inundated with spam. With the new "dummy" email I just let it go there and my regular email is not affected. |
| Even without choosing a dummy email, you can control or filter what you want in your inbox. Every time I log into my account and find that I have gotten unnecessary mail, I do mark them as spam or simply unsubscribe. Using a fake email could make you lose out on important information. For example, I use my exact email address when logging into forums but never get any spam. What account do you use? |
