My spyware bugs me

Thank author of this post/commentThere are some times when I try to do something on my computer and my spyware pops up not allowing me to do what I was trying to do. I know what I am doing is ok, but my spyware doesn't see that. Does anyone else have these problems? Should I not pass the spyware and do the operation, or should I try reinstalling the spyware.

Thank author of this post/commentMy spyware does the same thing at times. But it's probably a good thing because we then know it's very careful heh. But if you know you're safe you can always turn off the spyware for that certain thing but remember to turn it back on once you're done!!

Thank author of this post/commentI think your spyware should have a white list. Just add your program into the white list, if you are sure that it really can be added to the white list.

Thank author of this post/commentOh, a whitelist, I never knew anything about that. So when the spyware pops up not allowing you to continue, is that where you find a button for a white list. Or, do you have to go into the program and add it there.

Thank author of this post/commentDepends on what Spyware you use. I had a problem with one of my anti-Spyware programs when it decided it was smarter than I was. I would go where I knew it was safe and it would decide that it wasn't. I did product a whitelist but it even overode that. It was like HAL from 2001 Space Odessey. It was making decisions for me.

So I uninstalled it and re-installed an older version that wasn't quite so smart and that worked just fine.

So yes I would suggest you uninstall it and find another version of it or another anti-spyware program and try that for a while.

Thank author of this post/commentTalk about these programs taking over your computer. We think that we have control over these things, but we just don't.

We definitely think we have control over computers, but I think someday they will out smart us and take over the world!

I encountered that same problem with my computer, it pissed me of because I can't go to the site where I want to go even if I believe that it's a "clean" site.

On second thought, I guess my Spyware is doing its great job in protecting me from internet hackers because I do believe that there is no real "clean" site on the internet.

Who doesn't get bugged by spyware. What about those pop ups right? I cannot work with a computer that pops like zits man.

Everyone's spyware bugs them... and at the weirdest times too. I don't get y it has to pop up it has nothing to do with what i'm doing but I guess it feels a bit neglected... I guess. It just needs a little attention.

I have experienced the same scenario with my old anti-spyware. What I did was uninstalled it and installed a free anti virus like AVG anti-virus and so far it worked great. Well of course you also have to live a healthy online life by not visiting or clicking suspicious links and websites. Scanning portable devices like USBs, hard drives and CDs for they are usually the source of such computer and network threats.
