Answers: Can IT Surveillance at work log activities outside of work on a work co - Surveillance
| Answers: Can IT Surveillance at work log activities outside of work on a work co I'm worried that the IT team at my work is able to view racy instant message conversations I had outside of work, but on a work computer. Is this possible? And if so, is there anyway to destroy the logs on my computer? |
| "Personal Use of Work Computers"
Why would you use work computers for personal use? Not only is it using your company resources for personal stuff, you are putting the computers, networks and business at risk for security reasons.I think you should be worried about keeping your job, not whether some personal conversation was logged or not. |
| A lot of people find surveillance very important most especially for big companies and public places as well. A lot of people seem to act in such a bad way so I think they have to make sure that other people are safe from these people with misdemeanor. Through the use of surveillance equipment life CCTV the society can secure the safety of the people. Great day to all. |
| It should not be a problem even if you have IT surveillance if you are complying with your company's security policies when it comes to data sharing or transfer. I think it would take some sort of a sophisticated device to be able to track activities outside the workplace, though. The best your company can do is to install a firewall but it can be too restrictive if this firewall is still activated outside the office. |
| Hi there! I think that the IT Surveillance can surely trace everything especially when you are using the office's facilities. They have the capacity to check everything as to keep the security and safety of all the information of the company. If I were you, I will have to stop doing that. Do this for yourself. Do this to keep your job. And most of all, do this for your company who is paying you. |
| Um...I agree with George. Should you really be posting those messages or chatting on a work computer? I would hope that the IT surveillance can catch you doing that and that you'll either curb your activities or maybe find a job someplace where they will approve of that, as I'm sure there are many, though perhaps of the lower caliber of work. |
