My husband was just told that his company is going to get all the employees phones with GPS on it. He travels alot. He is pretty peaved about this. When is it going to stop where even your own employers want to know where your are at all times!

Okay i probably sound really dumb. But what is GPS? I never heard of it before?

Global Positioning System. Designed for the Military now in use all over. Search GPS on Google and you'll find plenty of GPS Units you can buy which will tell you exactly where you are.
GPS is now incorporated into many different things, including some cellular phones and some cars.

My Dad is an outside salesman and his vehicle has a GPS on it. But, I didn't think they would put one on a cell phone. It bugs him sometimes too. I guess if you want to keep your job, just shut your mouth and live with it.

Well, I would say that if they put it on his cell phone for business then only use that cell phone during business hours.
After business hours he could have his own cell phone so that the company thinks he is home every night. hahahha
Would be a joke on them if they came to his house looking for him for some nefarious reason and he wasn't there. They wouldn't know where to start looking now would they. Can we all say egg on the face?
