We have Trend Micro Antivirus and it has worked perfectly for us thusfar. We bought it with a package from Best Buy. We brought our computer in about a year ago with numerous problems and they added this package for like 10.00. It included a few different things, but Trend Micro was one of the things they installed and we couldn't be happier.

I think the better question is why is your computer getting viruses everyday. I am on the net everyday, I use Norton and don't have a problem. But I am careful about the sites I go on.

There are a lot of sites that will give you a virus and you need to be choosy as to where you browse. I would suggest that you do a virus scan, up-date your virus through Norton before you do it and then watch what sites you go to and see if that is where the problem lays.

I don't really go to any sites that would be suspicious. I mostly hang around myspace, livejournal, article websites, youtube and such... Maybe somebody is using my computer when I'm not looking! How's that for paranoia? Heh.

It could be within your email. Do you ever check your spam mail. I have heard all you have to do is click on a spam email and it can put a virus on your computer by just opening the email. I have a blackberry and I have had viruses on it by just accidentally opening spam mail.

Did you by the virus program at a store or did you download it from a website? I have heard that there are alot of site that have viruses and if you download anything it can install a virus on you system.

I think you have some problem in the settings option in Norton Antivirus. You are using one of the leading product in Computer Security domain. Though I have received some reports that Norton takes too much of system resources, but not anything like this. Please check your settings.

Hmm, i DO check my spam sometimes, not all the time but i don't download anything through the spam emails, i do though check the email from time to time. I'll stop that and see if that makes any difference.

I did buy the antivirus program at a store.

Samn, i'll do that, thank you. I'm not all savvy so maybe i missed something.

A friend of mine uses two antivirus programs. I think he uses Norton’s and Win. He swears when he runs one then the other one he still finds viruses that the other didn’t. I use Norton’s my self I get the complete Norton systems works. It’s great for fixin little things on your computer.

If I were you I would buy a new updated virus program and install it in your computer cause the norton program is good for old virus and virus that are out when the program comes out, but new viruses it is unaware of, so buy a new one and that should fix the problem. you should get a new virus program about every 3 to 6 months.
