Up to date virus list I have bookmarked the page below that shows me the most recent viruses or threats that are out there so that I am up to date. It really has come in handy.
Thanks for sharing this wonderful site. This will be very useful for my 'cause although workstation are installed with viruses and even updated everyday there are new viruses and other threats are not detected by the our anti virus. Is Symantec the best anti-virus? I'm Using Kaspersky 6.0. Would you suggest that I should change? Although Kasperky's virus database is not that large to detect all viruses, it has a pro active defense mechanism.
Sometimes when I see links like that I'm afraid to click on them just because I don't know anything about that sort of stuff. I hate it because if a link like that could help me learn and protect my computer I don't know if I should click it.
I am to agree with Justin. Me myself have terribly no idea on this matter. My husband is always there to keep our computer safe from any threats and viruses, I am just here to bust everything everytime i am attracted on downloading some files that were actually viruses. I do not really know when to say if the file to be downloaded is a virus or not. Please help..
I do not think you can pinpoint an exact number of viruses there are out there because they keep multiplying by the tick of a clock's second hand. Well, many people hold different and varied views about the best anti-virus to use. Others argue Kaspersky is good but not easy to update. Others use AVG and say they like it. I have used McAfee in the past and found it nice.
i want do virus project so please send virus list and ppt and document file aslo it is very urgent
the new virus xeex.exe what can i do
Does it come to your mind that anti virus companies are one of those responsible for making more and more viruses around the world. They would all go out of business if the virus making stops and there nothing to protect our computer from. And if you want an up to date virus scanner you'll have to pay for a software and another fee for the company on the next years for the service.
Hello: I use AVG and am very happy. Itīs actually free and very good. They keep asking you to "upgrade", of course this means you have to pay. Viruses? How do you know? Well, my encounters have been dramatic. First thing is that the machine wonīt boot (start). It just looks at you and doesnīt even blink. Thatīs when you know you have a virus. The technician then has to come and re-install everything. The very best thing is not to surf the web, nor open strange web links and never...NEVER..open strange emails.
Always good to have the most up to date virus list, no doubt in my mind about it, what so ever.
What a virus list? :( ... just kidding guys.. where's the rest of the discussion?
Nod32 is also a very good virus protection, not sure if it is free though, by the way.
Are you kidding me? Nod32 is such a joke my friend. I would sure prefer something like Avast or maybe even AVG, before considering Nod 32.
I have to agree with that curtis, according to a reliable source of mine, Nod 32 is not that good virus protection because it can make the performance of your computer low. I have nothing against Nod 32 but I have to say that I would also consider this anti virus last. I would want to hear more about this topic guys so please keep those post coming in. Thanks.
Besides the symantec virus list given above, AVG is also one of the leading and more reliable antivirus which offers its FREE services. I have been using it for years and luckily my system hasn't been infected yet because I both regularly update and scan my hard disk of its content. Well, of course I also consider the website and applications I click in order to be safe. Here is the virus database or the top threats in AVG Antivirus:
| "Tyche"
I need list 20 viruses discovered in the past 12 months and three of them in detail, describing which files they infect, how they spread, and their intended effects. |
